Family

Family, what is your definition of family? Or shall I say expectation?

There are many out there and some opinions are based on experience. Many of us have had parents who stopped being parents. Who gave up being by our side. Parents who have never said “I love you” or “I am proud of you”. Some of us may not have our parents in our lives. How sad is that? Then there are those who were brought up with strong foundations, morals, values and unconditional love. Parents who have been by their side through thick and thin, through life’s journeys and greatest moments.

We meet friends along our journey who become part of our family. There is a famous quote out there ” Family isn’t always blood. It’s the people in your life who want you in theirs; the ones who accept you for who you are. The ones who would do anything to see you smile and who LOVE YOU no matter what.”

My Family

I married my best friend, my soul mate for 10 years now. He is my world and my everything. We created our family of three beautiful children who have brought us so much joy, love and happiness. Is life always perfect? Nope. We have held each others hand and got through what life has thrown us. We take these obstacles and look at them as lessons. We choose to learn from these lessons, which only make us stronger and then we must move on. I can honestly sit here right at this very moment and say, I am so proud of our foundation, the values, morals, love and support we give to each other. I am grateful for my family and to our friends who have been in our lives from the beginning,  who have become part of our family and they are the forevers.

I will share with you a couple of rules in our home:

1. Never go to bed angry or upset

2. Communicate

3. I love you.

Always remember that our greatest ability is through love and gratitude! On that note, today, our baby girl is 4 months old. I am grateful for her. This little angel completes my family.
